What will the new tomorrow bring? We aren’t going to return to “normal.” If anything, the pandemic has exposed so many cracks in society (that many of us in the marginal corners have long been aware of) that need to be addressed.
We stand at the precipice of new possibilities. We have the choice to help create a better future, or sit on the sidelines. It may seem like a daunting task, but we must remember that change starts at the root level. Effective, influential change starts with us, in our own backyards. What is that change? It’s multifaceted: how we grow our food, how we communicate with each other, and learning to strive for sustainable living that is healthy for all and the environment. It’s also global political change that supports diversity, human rights, and the planet.
This and more was the inspiration for the sigil we created in my online Sigil Witchery workshop on Thursday, May 21st, 2020. This sigil joins the collection of other sigils that address collective needs as we learn to navigate through these times, including the Needs Met Sigil, A Sigil for the Protection of the Vulnerable, and Psychopomp Sigil. As part of every workshop, we collectively decide on a goal or problem, and craft a sigil as a group to address it. We started off with suggestions about growth in terms of gardening – then we expanded the concept bigger to not include plants, but ourselves and our communities as well.
Built Into This Sigil:
– Healthy & Sustainable Growth
– Expansive Change & Accommodating to Aid
– Flexibility & Adjustment to Adapt
– Stability/Groundedness
– Well-Nourished
– Healing/Fresh Focus/Prosper/Thrive
– Sovereign
How to Use This Sigil:
You are welcome to use this sigil however you see fit that is in alignment with the intent of the sigil.
Ideas for use:
– draw on the earth, especially in areas where you will be planting/gardening
– use as a community focus in virtual ritual
– place on a candle (greens, blues, white are all good options)
– anoint your body with it.
– use for meditation
Please note: When sharing this sigil (or any other sigil you find on this blog), please be sure to include the link to the blog post. The sigil works best if people understand precisely what went into it, versus just sharing the image and telling people to use it.
